The Hospitals Foundations Act 1982 specifies the objects to which the Hospitals Foundations may apply their funding. These objects fall into three general categories:

• Promotion of health and medical research
• Promotion of training, education and professional development
• Provision of equipment, supplies and facilities enhancement to promote health and to aid the health services in the District

The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation makes funding available for staff of the Toowoomba Hospital, Mt Lofty Heights Nursing Home and Baillie Henderson Hospital in the following four categories:

• Equipment, Facilities Enhancement & Supplies to promote better outcomes and to aid health services - download guidelines and application form.
