The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organisation that exists to promote the activities and service of the Toowoomba Hospital, Mt Lofty Heights Nursing Home and Baillie Henderson Hospital.
Darling Downs - West Moreton Health Service District
In August 2008 a restructure of Qld Health was announced. This saw the amalgamation of five previous districts - Northern Downs, South Burnett, Southern Downs, Toowoomba and West Moreton.
The DD-WMHSD covers approximately 95,000km² to the west of Brisbane, extending south from the NSW border to Wondoan in the north and Glenmorgan in the West. The Health Service District services a population of approximately half a million people.
As West Moreton incorporates the Ipswich Hospital Foundation the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation Board decided that the main focus of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation would remain the Toowoomba Health Service being the Toowoomba Hospital, Baillie Henderson Hospital and Mt Lofty Heights Nursing Home.
