Leave a lasting legacy - Your committment can leave a lasting legacy and make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by illness.

Leaving a gift to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is one of the most compassionate gifts you can give, and allows the Foundation to continues to support our staff, our patients and their families.

You can make the life of a staff member a little easier, the day for a patient a little brighter, and bring peace of mind to the loves ones of patients - even after you are gone.

Your gift means we can continue to strive for better opportunities and outcomes for our staff, our patients and their families.

How do I leave a gift in my Will?

There are a number of ways you can leave a gift in your Will to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation:

  • A percentage of your total estate. You can leave your entire estate of a percentage of your estate. By doing this, as the value of your assets increases or decreases, your legacy will adjust accordingly.
  • A gift of the residue of your estate. The residue of the estate is what remains after the coasts of administration including all taxes and liabilities (including funeral expenses) as well as specific gifts have been paid. You can choose to leave the whole or part of what remains of your estate to Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
  • A gift of a specific amount of your estate.
  • A particular property or item, such as real estate, shares or personal items.

You may also choose to leave your bequest 'freely' which allows us to allocate your gift where it is most needed at the time, or for a specific purpose.

We have also compiled our "Leave a Lasting Legacy, Leave a Gift in Your Will" book to assist in clarifying any questions you may have about leaving a gift in your will to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.

Making a Will is the only way to ensure your wishes are carried out the way you want after you're gone and provides certainty for you and your loved ones that your wishes will be fulfilled.
