Valerie and Sparkles the Clown, along with Darling Downs Showgirl Lucy Galea, kept the kids entertained with face-painting, balloons and gift bags.
The visit was organised by the Darling Downs sub-chamber of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Society.
Representative from Darling Downs shows John Koehler said the morning was an opportunity to bring some excitement and happiness to kids in hospital.
“We come and visit the Toowoomba Hospital every year to make a difference for the hospitals littlest patients,” Mr Koehler said.
“The kids really enjoy seeing the clowns and having their faces painted, and it is an opportunity to give them a distraction from their stay in hospital.”
Toowoomba Hospital Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alison Kennedy said the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation was proud to be able to facilitate such a wonderful initiative for the kids in the Toowoomba Hospital.
“Being in hospital can be daunting for anyone, but it can be especially difficult for young children,” Mrs Kennedy.
“To be able to provide a little bit of joy and laughter into their day is a real privilege and we are extremely grateful for Darling Downs Shows for organising the visit.”
