In our region, nearly 100 patients walk through oncology and haematology clinics every single day. For half of them, the journey has already been a long one — travelling hours to Toowoomba just to access the care they need.Currently, a single visit can mean navigating four different departments. With a catchment area covering 300,000 square kilometres, our facilities are stretched to the limit.
That’s why I’m taking on Trek the Trail. I’m raising funds to help the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Darling Downs Health build a purpose-built Regional Cancer Centre. This facility will bring life-changing services under one roof, making treatment easier, faster, and closer to home.
