Welcome to The Ellie Project
The Ellie Project is a paediatric oncology initiative in Toowoomba that started in May 2021 after Ellie Ross was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the age of 2 years old.
The Project initially started as a blog on Facebook that shared the raw and everyday life of childhood cancer through the perspective of Ellie's mum, Karlie. It has, however, grown to be a multifaceted initiative where we set various projects and invite participation from the local community: these have ranged from toy drives, blood drives, sharing educational resources, and monetary fundraisers to support Toowoomba's paediatric oncology services.
This page is an open fundraiser (i.e. no end date) to help The Ellie Project continue our aim of supporting cancer-affected families in Toowoomba. Funds donated to this page go directly towards supporting these families' hospital-related costs like subsidising parking, contributing to food vouchers whilst in hospital, stocking an activity cart for long procedures, and various other items that make a world of difference to families affected by childhood cancer.
Please help us with our Project of supporting kids like Ellie, and their families, while they fight childhood cancer together.
