Trek the Trail 2026

I’m stepping forward for a stronger tomorrow.

How far would you go for cancer care?
In our region, nearly 100 patients walk through oncology and haematology clinics every single day. For half of them, the journey has already been a long one — travelling hours to Toowoomba just to access the care they need.

Currently, a single visit can mean navigating four different departments. With a catchment area covering 300,000 square kilometres, our facilities are stretched to the limit.

That’s why I’m taking on Trek the Trail. I’m raising funds to help the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Darling Downs Health build a purpose-built Regional Cancer Centre. This facility will bring life-changing services under one roof, making treatment easier, faster, and closer to home.

The best part? Darling Downs Health has committed to match-funding up to $10 million — meaning your support goes twice as far. Thank you for stepping forward with me.

My Updates

Let's Trek!

Friday 24th Apr

Last year, I took on a 75km trek to raise money for the Regional Cancer Centre, in support of a friend who had gone through breast cancer.

But my “why” started long before that.

Years earlier, I found myself fundraising for my daughter after she was diagnosed with a neuromuscular condition, needing a life changing medication. It was an incredibly overwhelming time, and this same friend showed up for me in ways she never had to, supporting me, backing me, and helping me through it all. I will be eternally grateful for that.

Cancer has also touched my life in other ways. I have had family and friends lose their battle to cancer, friends who have lost loved ones to it, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact it has, not just on the person diagnosed, but on everyone around them.

That first trek pushed me more than I expected, but together with a bunch of other trekkers, we raised an incredible amount of money for a cause that impacts so many families in our region.

And now, I’m doing it again.

This year, I’ll be taking on 65km from Esk to Wulkuraka to continue raising funds for the Regional Cancer Centre.

For me, this is about more than just the distance. It’s about showing up, giving back, and supporting others when they need it most, just like someone once did for me.

If you’re able to donate or share, I would be so grateful.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
