To ensure our sustainability the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation have a number of enterprises we operate in the community.
CLIVE BERGHOFER TOOWOOMBA HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATION
We're excited to announce that the refurbishment of the Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Hospital Accommodation Units is set to get underway in August.
During the project, which is scheduled to be completed in mid-September, all six of our units will be closed for refurbishment.
This means that from Monday 8th August to Friday 16th September we will not be taking any bookings, and patients travelling in for treatment and care will need to find alternative accommodation.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause during the refurbishment period, however, we’re incredibly excited to be able to offer more welcoming, modern, and cozy units for our rural patients come September.
If you or a loved one need to travel more than 50 kilometres for treatment and care at the Toowoomba Hospital, the Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Hospital Accommodation can provide emergency, short-term and extended stay options (up to three months) for patients and their families. Located on the hospital campus our units are equipped with all the essentials you need to make your visit a little bit easier and as stress-free as possible.
Our six accommodation units are available from $60 per night. Discounts and subsidies through the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) may be available for eligible patients needing to access specialist medical services. To find out if you are eligible visit the Queensland Government website.
Accommodation is subject to availability, so if you are able please contact us.
TOOWOOMBA HOSPITAL MUSEUM PROJECT
The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is the proud custodians of many artefacts dating as far back as the opening and operation of the previous Toowoomba General Hospital, the Mother's Hospital and Baillie Henderson Hospital as well as many present day items and memories.
We have great plans to turn this collection into a wonderful Museum for our community and visitors to the region, to visit and discover some of the amazing stories and history of our Health Service.
