Introducing Vince and Mary, a lovely couple (pictured in the centre) who recently made an incredibly generous contribution to THF based on their remarkable experience at the Toowoomba Hospital.
On 11 November 2023, poor Mary dropped an iPad on shin, this is the night she describes as “the night my life changed”.
Unfortunately, this incident was the beginning of a nearly five-month-long recovery process.
Following multiple operations, Mary was finally able to return home from hospital in mid-March of this year much to the delight of her husband Vince and beloved dog Freckles.
Mary wanted to express her heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional healthcare professionals who cared for her and prompted their decision to donate to the Foundation.
Well done to the terrific staff at the Toowoomba Hospital for the life-changing work they do each and every day.

“It has been a very long and painful 5 months, but once again all credit goes to the Hospital and all doctors, staff, everyone for the incredible effort and the result that they achieved. You can be extremely proud of all the staff and the quality, tenacity, skill and conferring with each other to get the right procedure for the injury. Many thoughts went into how they would treat my injury, and it has turned out perfectly for me. I am just so pleased that it was successful. Congratulations to a magnificent team.” - Mary
