Women undergoing breast cancer screening in Toowoomba will now experience greater comfort and dignity, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Ultimate Pink Night community.
Funds raised from last year’s Ultimate Pink Night have provided BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba Service with high-quality, locally made patient gowns in various shades of pink. Designed for warmth, coverage, and durability, these gowns ensure that women attending follow-up assessments feel comfortable, secure, and supported during what can be an anxious time.

At a special donor presentation, event organiser Ryan Harris joined Sandra Peut, Health Promotion Officer at BreastScreen Queensland, and Alison Kennedy, CEO of Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, to celebrate this important donation.
“It’s an event that effects so many people in so many ways, and our organisation had previously run Pink Night between Toowoomba, Parramatta Speedway (when it was around) and Murray Bridge Speedway. However, 4 years ago, we decided to reinvigorate the event by partnering locally with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation to not only keep the money local with Breast Screen Toowoomba, but aim to make a difference within our own community,” said Ryan.

For the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, this donation is a powerful reminder of what community-driven fundraising can achieve.
“When people come together for a cause, incredible things happen,” said Alison Kennedy. “These gowns may seem like a small change, but for the women wearing them, they mean warmth, dignity, and the knowledge that their community cares. It’s a perfect example of what Ultimate Pink Night makes possible.”
Help Ultimate Pink Night Reach $100,000 for BreastScreen Queensland
The support doesn’t stop here! This Saturday, 22 February, Ultimate Pink Night returns to Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, once again raising funds for BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba Service.
Over three years, this event has raised more than $70,000 to support local women. Now, with this weekend’s event, organisers are aiming to push that total to $100,000. Every dollar raised on the night will go directly towards upgrading BreastScreen Queensland’s Mobile Screening Bus with a new 3D mammography machine. This vital upgrade will mean more accurate imaging and could bring step-down assessment clinics to rural and remote areas, ensuring women can access essential care closer to home.
“To raise $70,000 during the past 3 years demonstrates how eager local people are to raise money for a local cause, when they have the confidence to know every dollar raised stays right here in Toowoomba,” Ryan said.
People can support the event by coming dressed in pink, bidding on auction items online, donating on the day via collection buckets, or placing a bid during the live auction at the Speedway.
Tickets are available now, and every dollar raised will help bring vital breast cancer services to more women in our region. Join us for a night of racing, community spirit, and life-changing impact!
